Pastor Maggii Nosirrah
Installed as Senior Pastor of The Sanctuary of Praise & Worship Int’l Inc. in
2003 Pastor Maggii Nosirrah has preached the gospel in Europe. North America,
South America and the Bahamas Islands.
Pastor Maggii (as her congregants, friends, family and associates
affectionately know her) has a wide and varied experience with youth and young
adults. Among her accomplishments are CEO of Infusion Productions where she
explored and honed her talents as psalmist, songwriter, vocal trainer and
producer.
Recently Pastor Maggii has taken on the role of foster parenting for the
Delta Family Services System, becoming an advocate for teenage girls with
special needs. In her role as foster parent, she works closely with The
Department of Human Services caseworkers, attends court hearings and educational
meetings, provides the girls with life study skills, and coordinates cultural
experiences and contact with their extended families. Pastor Maggii has risen
for children of her own of whom she is Godly proud. Additionally she has
provided guardianship and guidance for her four grandchildren during various
stages of her lives.
Prior to 2003, Pastor Maggii was a youth leader; at the age of seven, she
organized her first choir in her neighborhood teaching them vocal harmony. She
then began her life’s journey with young people. She became Youth Pastor at the
Christian Vision Center under the leadership of her sister and mentors the late
Shirley L. Young. During her time there, she was Choir Director, providing voice
training for not only adults, but also her “Kings Kids”. The Kings Kids range in
age from 3 to 12 and have traveled the nation performing concerts. She also
established B. O .O. T. S. (Back out on the Streets), ages 15 and over,
Crossfire (a youth group ages 13 to 20) which performed in -house and outreach
ministry on high school and college campuses, in hospitals, nursing homes etc.
In June of 1999 she was installed as Pastor of Evangelism . Her passion for
winning souls grew stronger.
In 1977 she launched her entrepreneurial enterprise, opening the first Black
owned full-service salon and spa for men and women. Since then she has owned and
opened Harrison & Bell’s Workshop from Head to Toe, Sirs for Hers, Maggii
Nosirrah “The Ultimate Beauty Experience I Maggii Nosirrah Boutique for Men,
Maggii Nosirrah II, Maggii Nosirrah III in (Manhattan, NY,) Chez Nouveau Maggii.,
(Maggii’s New Place), Rave and Crown & Glory Salon and Boutique. Each of these
full service salons offered:
Hair, Skin and Nail Care
Body Massages/Herbal Warps
Day of Beauty Packages
Limousine Service (upon request)
Her entrepreneurial pursuits have included unisex boutiques, designing
clothing, furs jewelry, shoes, hats and coordinating fashion shows to display
her designs. She was the hair designer for the Miss Black America Beauty
Pageant. Among the many clients has serviced are Bianca Ferguson and Todd Davis
(star actors on TV’s General Hospital), Tony Orlando (singer), and Leon Durham
(National Baseball League Player). She has also taught Cosmetology as Gordon
Phillips Beauty School and Wilford Academy.
Presently she services long standing preferred clients at her in-home salon.
All of Pastor Maggii’s endeavors are faith-based and encompass her dedication
to spirituality and God.
